Jazz session

Dates : June 2nd through June 7th 2019

Candidates:
-Individuals of college or equivalent level of experience in Jazz and popular music
- Group: Members of the musical group already formed of which are individually registered. We first and foremost aim at the improvement of the group.
-Teachers: of all the levels that want to perfect themselves.

Youth Camp: Elementary Harmony, Piano or Art Initiation

Dates: August 10th to August 16th 2019

The only camp for elementary campers and the last one of the summer before school starts. An awesome way to end the summer! A week of camp centred on initiation to music or arts. The camper has the choice to either learn a wind instrument or simply to initiate themselves to arts like theatre, dance, singing, ecology, arts and crafts or percussions.

Day camp :
August 11th to August 16th 2019
(6 days including lunch and snack)

Day camp Plus :
August 11th to August 16th 2019
(6 days including lunch, snack, supper and evening activities)

Sleepover camp :
August 10th to August 16th 2019
(6 days and 5 nights including meals, snacks and evening activities)

Elementary Harmony, Piano and Art Initiation

-For elementary boys and girls
-For musicians with no experience at all or less than a year of experience (Pieces of levels 1 and 2)
-Activities : Harmony, Stage Band, choir and 1 choice of workshop
(Singing, dance, arts and crafts, theatre, ecology or percussions)

Art initiation
-For elementary boys and girls
-For children wanting to initiate to arts such as:  theatre, arts and crafts, ecology, dance or percussions. (choice of 3 workshops)
Costs :
Day camp : $275 taxes included (from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm)
Day camp Plus : $345 taxes included(from 8 :15 am to 8 :15 pm)
Sleepover camp : $ 470 taxes included
*The concert on the Friday night is mandatory for all participants.

POP Academy Camp
Dates: June 30th to July 12th 2019

Ideal for campers who would like to form a group and perform cover songs. With the electric guitar and the big rhythmic section, we are always impressed by the quality of the show made just after 2 weeks of camp. A camp for the rockers of this world!

Candidates:

  • Students of Secondary 3-4-5 or College
  • Singers of POP
  • Instrumentalists with a minimum of 2 years experience with their instrument (drums, bass, electric guitar, keyboard, trumpet, saxophone, trombone)

Goal:
To allow young people to live a unique and enriching experience by giving them tools to perfect their knowledge and their capacities in connection with diverse aspects of popular music.
Concept:
Training of small sets consisted of a rhythmic section, brass instruments, singers, choir singers and a sound technician assigned to every set. Popular directory of all styles (soul, rhythm and blues, pop, dance, disco, rock and country music).

Dance Camp

Sleepover camp:
Dates : July 14th to July 21st 2019
Duration :8 consecutive days including meals and accommodation.
Day camp: 
July 15th to July 21st 2019
Duration : 7 days including lunch and snack
Day camp Plus :
July 15th to July 21st 2019
Duration : 7 days including lunch, snack, supper and evening activities

Candidates : 
The Camp Musical d’Asbestos for its second year a summer camp focused on dance and various techniques which it contains. The camp is of a duration of 1 week and is offered to elementary and high school students. During the week, campers will be brought to push their creativity through various workshops accessed on the learning of various dances. With workshops every day and theoretical courses, the campers will have everything they need to perform a memorable show at the end of the Camp.

Concert Band and Jazz Band

Intensive music program for students with at least one year of band instrument experience. The best thing about this camp is that everyone is there for the love of music and they live and play with kids that love music just like them.

English String Session

String Ensemble
Date : July 28th to August 9th, 2019
Offered to high-school aged students of Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass. Two week opportunity to play orchestral reperoire in a group setting as well as working with professionnal musicians in individual private lessions. Additionnal activities like music history, theory, chamber music ensembles and Sports round out each day.
